Red Hill Gold Mine (Australia)


A small underground gold mine on the site of the discovery of gold at Gulgong, New South Wales. The remains today comprise a mesh capped shaft, old mill/engine foundations and a rebuilt poppet head, two head stamper and various bits of mining equipment relocated to the site. An overgrown open-cut/gunnis is also situated a short distance WNW of the site.
