Porth Newydd Mixed Mine (United Kingdom)

A small adit driven in a westerly direction off the beach, roughly over 30 foot in length. A branch has been drive south for about 20 foot. The ends of the drive show that it has been excavated using picks. There is a shaft above the cliff a short distance away (not connected to this level). The mine has been listed as mixed as it is not obvious what it has been excavated for, the Carmel Head Mine is nearby (copper), but the level seems to be driven into ochreous deposits.
