Port Kembla No.2 Coal Colliery (Australia)


Port Kembla No. 2 Colliery, to the south west of Mount Kembla summit, driven 1947, closed 1964 and sealed 2006, Wongawilli seam worked. Several surface buildings in good condition survive including historic pit pony stables. Location of ventilation portal identified but completely run-in. Access to the mine site was from the Mount Kembla Ring Track but there is a track up to the mine from the Famborough Heights area.
