Oxted Chalk Pit (United Kingdom)


Oxted Pit was a typical Surrey limeoworks in the Lower Chalk, cut into the face of the North Downs. A bank of kilns went out of use in the 1960s(?), but a hydrating plant continued in operation until the 1990s.(?)
