Mentioned briefly by Rieuwerts in Part 3 of Lead Mining in Derbyshire (page 193) and on page 99 of his History and Gazetteer. Only reference dated May 1744. Very hard to locate on the steep wooded slopes of the north side of the Via Gellia, it is situated about 600 feet to the west of Slaley Sough at about the same contour. Entrance run in, probably long ago.
