Office Level (Part Of The Eisen Hill Iron Mines) Iron Mine (United Kingdom)

Spoke to a farmer at Oldrey Farm who advised us of an adit at Ison Cottage. [NGR SS 91608 37008] This mine is known as the `Office Level’. It was the Mine Office until it was pulled down in 1960 and replaced by the present day building. After obtaining permission we photograph the adit entrance which is 1.3 m high by 2 m wide. Not sure how long it is, we were quoted 200 m , but it is blocked by a roof fall after 65 m.
