North Wheal Trelawny (Ludcott & Wrey United) Mixed Mine (United Kingdom)

This was a small lead/silver mine, Worked 1852 - 1861 Possibly continued to 1864 - 1865 as part of Ludcott and Wrey United/Consolidated.
Worked from Corytons Shaft, 275m SE of Woodfield Farm. This shaft extended to approximately 105m below adit level (135m bgl). The lode was developed on adit level, 13, 25, 36, 46 and 58 level (24, 46, 66, 84 and 105m.

The adit level emerges on the southern side of the stream near Woodfield Farm, The exact location is not known.

LODES: E dipping, N-S trending lode in killas. This is the southern extension of the western most lode at Wheal Ludcott. The lode is 0.5 - 1.0m in width and carries siderite, pyrite, pyragyrite and native silver. Spar minerals such as fluorite are found.

KNOWN OUTPUT: 1852-1861 : 327 tons of 67% Lead Ore, 4,014 ozs Silver
