Newgate Quarry (Dalton Brickworks Quarry) Clay Quarry (United Kingdom)


A group of quarries and shafts. Coal, clay and sandstone have all been extracted. Currently the clay extraction is part of Ravenhead Brick Works. There has a been a brick and tile works on the site since the 1800's and as a result it has quite a few names. Currently owned by Ibstock (who also own another local quarry).
