New High Carr No 3 Coal Mine (United Kingdom)


This mine was located in the junction of the A34 and A500 roads High Carr. The mine was operated by the Great Row Colliery Co Ltd, who in turn were bought out by Hampton Gold Mining Areas Ltd in November 1975. The mine was worked from a sigle drift known as 'Steep down'. The mine was closed around 1989. The site has now been totally cleared.
