Monument Coal Colliery (United Kingdom)

Forest of Dean Freeminers drift mine, situated close to the trackbed of the Bixslade Tramroad, of which, the stone block rail supports can still be traced.

The mine is named after the adjacent memorial to the Union Colliery disaster of 1902.

The mine has been operating on a part-time basis, but production will be increased this winter (2009).
