Matchless (Leadville) Silver Mine (United States)
Leadville was the greatest of all the Colorado mining regions. Mining in the area began in 1859 and continues today. The history of Leadville is a series of boom and bust periods following the fortunes of the mining industry. Story and some quite good archive pics. here:
