Los Bronces Copper Mine (Chile)


Los Bronces is an open pit copper and molybdenum mine. The ore extracted is crushed and transported in a ore slurry pipeline 56 km long to Las Tórtolas flotation plant, where copper and molybdenum concentrates are produced. The mine also produces cathodes.

In 2007 Los Bronces produced 231,216 tonnes of fine copper, including high purity cathodes and copper concentrate, as well as 2,549 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate.
