The location of this mine is uncertain, in Farey survey it is noted as being 1 mile N of Alderwasley; a likely location is SK316550. Old OS maps show some hillocks to the north of Mill Wood around SK314550 and surface evidence shows undulating ground and possible hillocks. A shaft mound and hollow with nearby possible run in adit are seen at SK31625505 with a probable adjacent second shaft mound at SK31725500
