Last Chance Gulch Gold Mine (United States)


On the the 14th of July 1864 significant placer deposits were found at LCG. The town of Helena was established by the miners.
Next to Alder Gulch, the Last Chance gold deposits proved to be the most extensive in Montana, producing an estimated nineteen million dollars in four years.
