La Poliantea is a small artisanal mine located just south of the Frontino camp in Antioquia, NE Colombia. The mine is almost a living museum using hand drilling and ore haulage is in 50kg packs on mens backs up various inclines and raises. Ore is hand sorted, cobbed and then roll crushed before being passed across a homemade Wilfley table and to static cyanidation in cement vats.
