Kongens Gruve Silver Mine (Norway)


The Kongens Gruve is the largest and longest lived of the various 'Kongsberg' silver mines. Access for visitors is via the Christian Stoll, a drainage and access adit commenced in 1782 near the small town of Saggrenda. The mines operated from 1623 to 1958.
