Killhope (Park Level) Lead Mine (United Kingdom)


Lead mining museum run by Durham County Council on the site of the Park Level and its associated dressing floors and mill.
A section of underground working has been recreated to include a working stope and an underground wheel, this is in a new chamber but accessed by the original Park Level adit.

Above ground attractions include the original Killhope waterwheel which powers the jigger house, dolly tubs and brunton buddles can be seen working outside.
