Houghton (Mines Rescue) Other Rock Mine (United Kingdom)

This unique, Grade II listed building was purpose built to serve the coal mining industry in the early part of the 20th century. Conveniently located between the A1 and A19, it is still known locally as ‘the old fire station’.

The interior of the building has been developed and upgraded in line with the changing requirements of our clientele. We offer classrooms with state of the art facilities whilst maintaining a friendly atmosphere.

The substantial subterraneous training gallery offers another dimension to these premises, allowing clients to train in a realistic, controlled environment. Houghton Training Centre offers you a completely unique training experience.
