Hirwaun Ironworks Iron Smelt Mill (United Kingdom)

Operations started in 1757 here though some believe a charcoal furnace was here prior to 1660.
The later works had two 40ft furnaces which increased to 4 by 1824 with blowing engine, cast houses and forge.
The 4 furnaces survive with charging bank. There are 2 limekilns to the NE and a large curved tramway causeway across Cynon complete with sleeper blocks.
