Healeyfield Lead Mine (United Kingdom)


The main activity at this mine was centred on the adit at Dene Howl, near Castleside where one of the engine houses can still be seen. The drainage adit was the Derwent adit at NZ0656 4980. The mine worked the Healeyfield vein in the thick sandstones of the Millstone Grit.
