Hayners Bailey (Monument Colliery) Coal Mine (United Kingdom)


This mine was located west of the B4234 on the Western edge of the F of D adjacent to the former Union Colliery. it was opened by Gerald Haynes around 1980 to produce small steam coal from the Yorkley seam. This may latterly have been known as Monument colliery having been taken over . the mine was still at work in 2000.
