Hafodfeddgar Copper Mine (United Kingdom)

This mine consists of a series of about five trials for Copper, Lead and Zinc lost in forestry plantation. It is thought that all levels are run in, but.....
The deep adit is open and discharging water. It can be entered and you can follow tram rails to a flooded whinze where a rising main with a hand pump is still in situ. The level carries on for a little way, with some nice blue secondary mineralisation (copper).
It is quite hard to find the first time, especially in the summer, but worth a look.
