Greens End Mine worked Lower Meltham Coal 0-0.6m thick and Fireclay. Abandoned in 1913. The workings on pillar and stall style at depths of 15ft and 24ft (2 shafts to this depth). Total Thickness extracted is shown as coal 12", shale 4", coal and clay 1'9", Best Clay 3'6" a total of 6'7"
Also called Meltham Pit. Most mines at Meltham have been called this in differant reports over the years.
