Greencleugh Fluorite Mine (United Kingdom)


Located on Wolfcleugh Common nr Allenheads. This was single drift Fluorspar mine. The drift was worked by a Pikrose 2 speed 45hp haulage engine. Approx eighty loaded skips per day were lifted. By 1997 the mine was on care and maintenance but had closed completely by December 1998.
