Goldscope Slate Mine (United Kingdom)

A rather old slate working on the dark blue/grey band of Cumbrian slate, also worked at Commonwood Quarry near Ulpha, but not elsewhere. Workings consist of one open quarry facing east and an underground chamber on three floors, the middle part of which is a cave working and probably from the late 1700s to early 1800s.
