Friarton Quarry (Perth Quarry, St Magdalenes Hill Quarry) Whinstone Quarry (United Kingdom)

Perth quarry operated for about 150 years or so and is now closed, it produced mainly crushed roadstone from the local dark grey volcanic rock. A notable feature of the quarry is that it has a quite well preserved magazine building for storing explosives, dating from 1878, in woodland next to the quarry site.
