Site of the Teign Vallies most productive Lead silver mine. On site were originally 3 engines - 28"crusher, 25"whim and 60" pump on the 145 Fathom deep Engine shaft. Some crumbling remains of the engine houses could be seen after A recent visit (2006). Site dates from the 1850's.
Recorded Outputs for 1857-1880 14800T of 67% Lead ore, 248000oz of Silver.
1872-9 240T Brown Haematite, 1874-7 182T of Spathic Iron ore, 1880 179T Fluorspar and 873T Barytes.
