Folldal Mine Copper Museum (Norway)
Mining has influenced the development of the society of Folldal and its neighbour rural districts since about 1700. Through the ore-mining and delivery of goods a majority of the inhabitants were more or less occupied for shorter or longer periods. The buildings which belong to Folldal Verk today were built to the restart of the mine in 1906. More or less the building mass is protected. For more periods more than 600 persons were employed. In these periods families of 8-10 lived in 20-40m2 flats. The apartments /flats are renovated and modernised today.
