Finedon (R.T & B.) Iron Quarry (United Kingdom)


Originally operated as Glendon quarries from 1866, becoming Glendon Iron Co ltd from 1886, Charles Barlow from Circa 1900, Harold Barlow?, Richard Thomas & Co Ltd from 1938 and finally R.T.B Richard Thomas & Baldwins Ltd from 1945. Closure came in 1947. The latter day workings were in conjunction with Irthlingborough mine centred on Buccleuch Quarry with Ore being tippled onto a narrow gauge train and taken via Irthlingborough mine to its processing plant.
