Worked with neighbouring Esgair Fraith. Famous as mine that figured in famous action by Sir Carberry Pryce to break monopoly of Society of Mines Royal in 1690. Also notorious as mine worked by Cambrian Mining Company in 1870s that resulted in shareholders being swindled out of modern equivalent of £8Million by Joseph Fell
