Eclipse Gold Mine (Australia)

Eclipse mine, also known as Eclipse No. 2, lies close to a number of associated workings in the Eclipse Group at Brookfield. Worked in the 1920s and 1930s on a small scale. The mine is just inside the Brisbane Forest Park and now comprises a large fenced off area with the two main shafts, Wilson's and Old Ladder shaft. Both shafts are meshed over. The eastern extension of the workings apppears to have collapsed recently and broken through to surface - flooded and no access.
