Dufton Fell Baryte Mine (United Kingdom)


Barytes working on the SE side of Rundale Beck. Originally a London Lead Company mine it closed in 1873. In 1882 it became one of the first mines in the district to move over to barytes production working up til 1897. Some exploration was done during the First World War but nothing came of it. More work was done at the close of the twentieth century by Sanbar Minerals Ltd.
