This is described in Farey as being 2 miles northwest of Flash, this location puts it around the sites of Dane Bower / Dane Collieries. Danehead Colliery may be the unnamed spoil mound (SK0083 6972) on the earlier old OS maps and to the southwest of Danebower Colliery, on later maps the map is shown to the north of Dane Colliery. Also on the mine plans for Danebower Colliery there are workings shown as 'old workings' to the west of Danebower, these may be Danehead workings.
