Cherry Eye (Cherry High) Iron Mine (United Kingdom)


Cherry Eye ironstone mine is located in Ruelow Woods in the Churnet Valley. An inclined tramway ran from the Caldon Canal up to the mine. A tramway connected several levels to the incline. The mine closed in 1923. Ref. Churnet Valley Iron, Herbert Chester, 2002, Landmark. BGS has a record of the abandonment plan.
