Britannia Works. (Welsh Imperial School Slate Factory.) Slate Factory (United Kingdom)


Originally slate, from Penrhyn and Dinorwig, and timber was imported and finished product exported exclusively by sea. Later, produce was carted to Llanfair P.G. station.
The site had two waterwheels, with two steam engines as back-up. It closed in about 1890 when the dam burst.
