Bedford United Copper Mine (United Kingdom)


This mine is a well known bat haunt and is monitored by the Natural England (English Nature). It is out of bounds from the 1st October to the 1st April every year. Contact for access is through the Plymouth Caving Group or Devon Mining Club. Contact can be found on either of the clubs websites. The mine was a major copper producer & did produce a small amount of tin, but is known as a copper mine. Tin miner.
