Battery Copper Mine (Australia)


A small underground mine producing copper immediately adjacent to the Lancelot Mine battery site, hence the name. The mine is developed on the eastern extension of the Lancelot tin lode. Mining commenced in about 1929 with ore shipped to the Chillagoe smelter.
