Annaglogh Lead Mine (Ireland)

This was one of the larger lead mines in County Monaghan, the site of which is engraved upon the 1856, 2nd edition OS map. Production is listed in Mineral Statistics from 1852 - 1855, though the mine continued to be listed up to 1865. Four shafts and an engine house are shown on a c. 1870 Geological Survey of Ireland map. The sites of several of these, along with the base of the engine house and its associated chimney, are still visible.
