Adderley Green Coal Colliery (United Kingdom)

Dating from 1799 and was known locally as Stirrup & Pye after the original owners. It had a wooden tandem headgear with a vertical single cylinder winding engine. After production ceased in 1939, the No9 shaft was retained for ventilation and as 2nd means of egress for the nearby Mossfield Colliery which closed in 1963.
