Some of you will be aware of the excellent work carried out by Michael Brown at Dylife Mine (between Machynlleth and Llanidloes), in particular clearing rubbish dumped in the Martha wheel-pit.

The Welsh Mines Preservation Trust are holding a working weekend at Dylife with Michael and his group on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October. Everone is welcome to come along and assist. We will be continuing the wheel-pit clearance on Saturday and on Sunday morning, on Sunday afternoon there will be an opportunity to explore some of Michael's recent underground discoveries.

You do not need to be a member of the Trust, (although we are always happy to have new members !) we are insured for up to twenty people working on site.

If you are interested in helping (or just coming along to see what has taken place at Dylife) meet in the car park at Dylife (SN 861 940), you will see the board for the Star Inn on the road, 1030 both mornings.
