I've started or resurrected a few threads about trips in 2011, hopefully too get a bit of interest and get some dates set

It'd be really nice to see something in the calendar each month, so :flowers: :flowers: does anybody feel like laying on a trip in their neck of the woods? Then it won't all be N Wales!

Will gladly do another Alderley trip if people fancy it :)

We could go for a nice through trip this time instead of the usual West Mine trip.

That would be great, have only done one trip there myself.

2010 (for me anyway) seemed to tail off in terms of trips to new areas. The first 6 months was great, then everything seemed to go wrong and I'm rather missing it!

Any thoughts as to when in the year for a trip?

Were good for almost any weekend really 🙂

Some time late March or early April - assuming enough people interested of course. Then it won't clash either with Drakelow or the proposed Peak weekend.

Cool, let me know when you're free.

Accomodation can be sorted via my club, I can sign up to 2 guests, but I'm sure if more were coming the hut warden can be bribed!

Box area is one area (along with Cornwall) that we've never had an "organised" trip to on here... If somebody wants to lay one on (Bath stone quarries that is) that would be tremendous :flowers:

You are allowed to save cave on here you know

It's just not a caving web site, but I'm not knocking caving in the same way I'd hope a caving web site wouldn't knock having an interest in mines and IA! Similar but different and all that.

Well maybe be could have a look in somewhere like James Hall Over Engine Mine on the Derbyshire weekend and perhaps a Yorkshire trip taking in say Pikedaw Calamine Mine or Devis Hole Lead Mine? Should help contribute to a fairly full calendar of mine trips for the more cave-phobic AN members to look forward to?

Well it's looking like the 'organised' (if that's the word for it) meets list is building up a bit :)

Hopefully over the next week or so a few dates will get firmed up and I can fill in a few more details.

Any more ideas to kick around?

There are a couple of locals who've never got around to doing the Brandy Bottle - Hard Level through trip in Swaledale.

I'm happy to open up that one to anyone who wants to come, assuming there are a people who like a bit of chin deep water ?
