Two small new features have just gone live.
My FavouritesAllows you to add mines/quarries to a list of your favourites (visible to you only). And that's about all! At the top right of each mine / quarry home page you'll now find a 'Favourites' block, click add and you'll find the mine/quarry listed on your 'My Account & Profile' page.
GuidesSimilarly accessed from each mine/quarry home page (part way down the right hand column) and managed from your 'My Account & Profile' page.
Allows members to indicate that they are agreeable to acting as a guide around any given mine or quarry. This arose form a discussion relating to newcomers to the hobby and who they approach / how they go about learning in a controlled and safe environment.
Please note, this system is intended
only for signing up as a guide for locations where access is allowed, please respect all access conditions.
With the number of people accessing the site it's likely that if you indicate you are happy to guide around a particular mine then you may well be asked (so don't sign up if you don't want to be asked!) although obviously it's not an obligation.
In the case of the Guides feature I added this in the hope that it might be of use to newcomers, or anybody looking to see a mine outside of their usual area.
