No they are relatively modern, built by members of the DCC for this small dig in West mine.

The wheels If I recall are mini brake drums, we have some good engineers in the club so a great deal of items like these and even new large steel ore wagons have been built over the past 20 years.

This particular dig has been idle for quite some time now and indeed has not reached the end of the level as yet.

It's amazing though how after a little time sitting about in the mine even the newly built stuff begins to age & even appear almost original.

If any time you want a trip just ask, access is very easy , trips are going on every week all round the year. This mine is actually very clean & warm, almost like walking along a beach in parts.

Cheers
Lee
The management thanks you for your co operation.

Thanks for the info, yes the tub and winder do look as if they werepart of the mine's original gear.
Thanks for the trip offer, wouldn't mind looking there at some point actually 😃
