So, I have one, and now that I have it calibrated etc, I'm trying a battery box. As with all 3D prints, it will need some degree of hand finishing, non-printed parts adding etc, but with the lid printed and the box partway through, it looks good so far. I'm printing it in PLA, mainly to see if the printer will behave with something this tall. Assuming it works, I'll do it in ABS, which is more sturdy and impact resistant.

I'm printing the battery box from this "Thing".

I can see the point in battery boxes, that's a good idea (I.M.H.O.)
But Shirley an ABS lamp with three emitters will just melt. 😢

I won't be using that head for that reason, it's probably fine with 3x 1W stars as specified for it, but 3x XM-L's will indeed turn it intoo stinky goo.

I'm slowly working something up that will take 3 emitters and heatsink properly. It's smaller too.

Battery box looks good though, and should take a Balance PCB without issue to minimise the need for opening it regularly.
