Froghall Wharf - Caldon Canal & Tramways

This wharf has excellent lime kilns and is the start point of all the Caldon Low tramways. The Tramways commence on the Kiln top level but were connected to canal level by a short incline plane. The 1778/85 and 1847 tramway/cableways strike off NE from the top of this incline whereas the 1804 rout climbs on a steep incline up to the SE
