Cathedral Pit Visit

Interesting series of buildings left from this Victorian Colliery inc Workshops, Admin Offices, Loco Shed, & Sawmill. Now occupied by a Crane Company. Sadly the main buildings are destined for demolition as declared unsafe. Site owned by Litchfield cathedral Estates. In the adjacent wood are the rems of another brick building with machinery mounting and two mounds overs the shaft sites one with contempory metalwork mangled into it. There is also what is possibly a winding rope coil next to the engine pond in the wood.
